From June 23 until July 18, Monday through Thursday, all 14 of us aspiring reporters will be “living” in room 203, 53 Church St., in Cambridge, Mass., for Harvard University’s Basic Journalism Course with Prof. Sallie Sharp. We officially meet from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., although it’s not unusual for us to stay after class and talk, and then go to lunch together. Sometimes we have a cup of coffee in our hand, or maybe a copy of the New York Times, or maybe a cell phone with an “Imagine” ring tone.
We’re pretty much the coolest class you’ll ever meet, made up of an international group of students hailing from Thailand to Spain to the Netherlands to, of course, the United States. We love to write, drink obscene amounts of coffee/caffeine, and hang out with Prof. Sharp!!
Check out our Facebook page, “Harvard SSP Journalism– SSharp Edition 2008,” and read through our blog to check out the latest news and ideas this newest generation of journalists has.

Haha, that’s cool!
